Wireless Emergency Response Integration at Your Fingertips
The Ei428 eliminates the need for cabling between the relay and smoke, heat and CO alarms used in the system, making it ideal for properties where running wires would be impractical or intrusive. It uses advanced radio transceiver technology with unique software coding to transmit and receive the RadioLINK RF protocol, ensuring a robust "mesh" of RF signals and reliable paths of communication.
Reliable Operation When It Matters Most
The volt-free relay contacts are rated up to 240V AC / 5 Amps, making them suitable for use with a wide range of AC or DC voltages, and the relay contacts operate on mains power or on back-up cells in the event of mains failure. The unit features built-in tamper proof rechargeable Vanadium Pentoxide lithium standby cells, capable of lasting at least 10 years and powering the module initially for at least 2 months in the event of mains power failure. This means your external devices will still be triggered even during unexpected power outages—a critical safeguard in emergencies.
Flexible Operation Modes for Different Scenarios
The house coding feature confines the RF communication to designated devices only, and as supplied the relay operates continuously but can be easily adjusted to pulse condition—in pulse mode, the relay switches for 5 seconds only. Whether you need continuous activation or momentary triggering, the Ei428 adapts to your property's specific safety requirements.
Broad Compatibility and Easy Integration
For use with 140RC when using an Ei168Rc RadioLINK base, 160e when using an Ei100MRF RadioLINK + module, Ei3000 series when using an Ei3000MRF SmartLINK module or any RadioLINK enabled CO alarms. The electrically isolated contacts can be used for many applications such as linking into a nurse call system, signalling, turning on lights, strobes and more. The Ei428 is installed and connected to strobe lighting and telecare systems; when any alarm is triggered, the strobe activates to provide visual alerts, and a signal is sent to the telecare system to notify on-site carers and off-site emergency responders instantly.
Intelligent Design for Installers and Residents
The module features 1 x 25mm trunking for surface wiring and centre knockout for recess wiring, with additional trunking knock outs to make installation as easy as possible. Unlike a smoke detector, the relay does not need to detect smoke and is therefore quite flexible in terms of positioning. LED indicators provide at-a-glance status confirmation, helping installers verify proper operation.
Why Choose the Ei428
The Ei428 stands apart from standard relay modules by combining mains power reliability with long-lasting battery backup, wireless convenience without sacrificing security, and compatibility across Aico's comprehensive RadioLINK ecosystem. It transforms your alarm system from a simple warning device into an integrated safety network that can notify emergency services, activate visual alarms for hearing-impaired occupants, and trigger essential building systems—all wirelessly and automatically when danger is detected.
