Complete Fire Safety Coverage for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Occupants

The RadioLINK LED Strobe Light Visual Alarm is built to indicate a visual warning in living spaces, and signals to the deaf and hard of hearing when their alarm system has activated. Unlike standard fire alarms that rely solely on audible warnings, this strobe light alarm uses a powerful, high-intensity flashing light to alert residents—specifically engineered to be seen by individuals who cannot hear the audible alarm, ensuring equal protection during critical emergencies.

Wide-Angle Light Output for Maximum Coverage

Equipped with a LED strobe light and designed purposely for use in daytime and sleeping rooms, it has a specially designed lens for wide-angle light output. This comprehensive coverage means the visual alert is impossible to miss, whether occupants are awake, asleep, or moving between rooms. The high-intensity LED strobe flashes at 0.8Hz with a wide light output angle, providing reliable visibility throughout the property.

Wireless Integration with Zero Installation Disruption

This module links into the alarm system using RadioLINK wireless interconnection technology, making it easier to add into a system and causing less disruption to the occupants on installation. It eliminates the need for any cabling between the Ei171RF and the smoke, heat and/or CO alarms used in the system, offering a clean, professional installation without rewiring requirements. The Ei171RF module is compatible with the 3000 Series, 600 Series and 140 Series alarms, along with any interconnected Carbon Monoxide alarms.

Uninterrupted Protection with Battery Backup

The unit has a built-in long life sealed rechargeable battery to provide back-up power in the event of mains failure. This ensures continuous protection even during power outages—a critical feature for reliable emergency alerting when it matters most.

Simple Testing and System Management

An integral 'Test' button is present on the front of the unit, allowing an easy means of testing the strobe and the RadioLINK enabled alarms in the system. The Ei171RF will need to be linked into the alarm system or 'House Coded' to ensure it only communicates with your system, preventing interference from neighbouring properties.

Scalable Multi-Unit Systems

Multiple strobe units can work together seamlessly. Up to 12 RadioLINK units can be used in one system, and for larger systems you can contact the Technical Department for guidance. This flexibility allows you to protect every room where deaf or hard of hearing occupants may need alerting, from bedrooms to living areas.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

The product is CE marked to indicate conformance to directives—EMC (89/336/EEC) tested to EN50130-4; Low Voltage (73/23/EEC) tested to EN60065; R&TTE (1999/5/EC) tested to EN300220-2V2.1.1. Manufactured in Ireland, this device meets the highest European safety and accessibility standards.
