The Fusebox AFDD062530B is a 25A 30mA combined Fusebox AFDD RCBO Type-A (1P+N) switched 6kA single module that offers advanced protection against arc faults (both series and parallel), short circuits, and earth leakage. This innovative device can replace any standard Fusebox RCBO when additional protection is required and is compatible with all existing Fusebox consumer units. It utilises microprocessor technology to detect irregularities in the electrical waveform. The RCBO component provides protection against earth fault currents, overloads, and short circuits. From March 2022, as per BS7671 18th Edition AMD2, Fusebox AFDDs are mandatory in Higher Risk Residential Buildings, Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), purpose-built student accommodations, and care homes. They must be installed at the origin of any single-phase AC final circuits supplying socket-outlets with a rated current not exceeding 32A.
