Eliminate cable runs and upgrade to wireless alarm interconnection

The Ei3000MRF SmartLINK Module transforms your 3000 Series alarm system from hardwired to fully wireless. This module removes tricky cable runs and allows 3000 Series alarms to connect with each other so that when one alarm is triggered, all others sound for audibility throughout the property—without running interconnection wires through walls or ceilings.

Plug-and-play installation with no rewiring required

Simply plug the Ei3000MRF SmartLINK module into any 3000 Series alarm head. With the compact 8cm width shown in the product image, the module fits directly onto your existing alarms, making retrofitting old systems or expanding new installations straightforward. Installation doesn't require electricians to trace new cable routes or access tight spaces—a major advantage for multi-storey properties or homes where rewiring is impractical.

Professional-grade wireless monitoring with the Ei1000G Gateway

When the Ei3000MRF is plugged in, you get wireless interconnection, data extraction and real-time notifications of alarm activations and events via the SmartLINK Gateway (Ei1000G) and Portal. This means SmartLINK enables real-time configurable notifications of alarm activations and events via a Gateway and Portal system for full visibility of your connected SmartLINK systems. For landlords and property managers, this delivers remote monitoring capabilities that would otherwise require expensive fire alarm panels.

Secure house coding prevents cross-interference

To ensure all the alarms in your system sound when one is triggered, they must be House Coded together. When House Coded, the alarms will learn each other as a system to ensure secure interconnection and no cross-signals with any neighbouring systems. This security feature is critical in multi-unit buildings, preventing nuisance activations from neighbouring properties.

Compatible with radio frequency and hybrid systems

This SmartLINK technology provides the same proven wireless interconnection technology as RadioLINK and RadioLINK+. It uses Radio Frequency signals and is completely compatible with both existing systems. This flexibility allows you to expand a system with extra alarms in the 3000 range so that you get increased coverage, with Remote House Coding eliminating the disruption of running new cables to interconnect the fire alarms.

Why choose the Ei3000MRF over hardwired systems

Traditional hardwired interconnection demands 0.75mm² cable runs throughout properties, strict 250-metre distance limits, and regular site visits for system checks. The wireless approach removes these constraints entirely. Achieve remote whole-system data monitoring and extraction when access is not possible—essential for HMOs, student housing, and properties where tenant cooperation on access is difficult.

The module integrates with Aico's AudioLINK technology found in all 3000 Series alarms, enabling smartphone-based data extraction for commissioning and testing without opening alarm heads. When combined with the Ei1000G Gateway, property managers gain reporting tools to accurately forecast alarm replacement and maintenance, and alarm notification trends help to highlight other potential problems – for example if a Carbon Monoxide alarm is regularly activated early in the morning, it could point to an issue with the heating system.

Professional specification and compliance

Designed for UK property managers, housing associations, and electrical installers, the Ei3000MRF meets BS 5839-6 and Building Regulations. Up to 12 alarms can be hardwire interlinked or by using the Ei3000MRF SmartLINK module, can be interlinked wirelessly, giving you flexibility to scale systems as properties expand.
